Speed limits vary by country within Europe. However, there are some general rules that apply in most countries.
In almost all European countries, the speed limit in urban areas is 50 km/h . However, some countries, such as Turkey , Sweden , and Great Britain , have lower speed limits in urban areas.
Outside of town, however, speed limits vary from country to country. This means it's important to adapt to the respective regulations of your destination before or during your trip.

These figures are merely the general speed limits for the countries. Please always pay attention to the current road signs!
Although these countries have regionally different speed limits, the following applies to vehicles from Germany:
Generally, the maximum speed for vehicles with trailers registered in Germany is 80 km/h, or 100 km/h if the vehicle is registered accordingly. If a higher speed is detected in an accident abroad, insurance coverage may be affected.
However, a combination of towing vehicle and trailer that is registered and permitted in Germany may also be driven in other European countries without restrictions.
